I colori del Mustang
Un viaggio in Mustang è un incontro con una natura maestosa. Ad ogni passo ci si immerge in un caleidoscopio di colori e forme unici. I sentieri ora costeggiano un fiume nel fondo di una gola formata dall’erosione delle acque, ora salgono impervi sul fianco di montagne di argilla modellate, in forme singolari, da pioggia e vento. Il deserto, chiazzato da piccoli cespugli spinosi, lascia spazio a valli fertili abitate da uomini e donne adattati ad una vita semplice ed essenziale. Le popolazioni di origine tibetana, hanno ritrovato, in questa regione del Nepal, una nuova patria nel tentativo di mantenere intatta la propria cultura ed identità attraverso la memoria. Il giallo, il rosso, il verde sono i colori che la natura ha miscelato, come un abile pittore, per dipingere le montagne e le valli, da cui gli uomini hanno preso ispirazione per rappresentare la loro spiritualità.
A trip to Mustang is an encounter with awe-inspiring nature. At each step you are immersed in a kaleidoscope of unique colors and shapes. The paths now skirt a river at the bottom of a gorge formed by the erosion of the water, now they rise imperviously on the side of mountains of clay modeled, in singular shapes by rain and wind. The desert spotted with small thorn bushes gives way to fertile valleys inhabited by women and men adapted to a simple and essential life. The populations of Tibetan origins have found a new homeland in this region of Nepal in an attempt to keep their culture and identity intact through memory. Yellow, red, green are the colors that nature has mixed, like a skilled painter, to paint the mountains and valleys, from which men took inspiration to represent their spirituality.
